Chair Yoga Practice

Chair Yoga is a traditional Yoga style inspired by the Iyengar method to build stability and support for yoga poses. It will help you challenge the experience of the pose and gain sensory input, create stamina in your standing poses, strength in your forward bends, flexibility in your backbends, and mobility in your twists. Create space in your practice so you can direct your attention to more specific alignments and muscle activation. This workshop will awaken areas of the body that have been inactive, create circulation, soothe aching joints, and strengthen muscles while cultivating mindfulness. Whether you have never experienced yoga before or have been practicing for years, this workshop will guide you in developing a supported practice.
Cura will show you the many possibilities a pose can offer through the creative use of the chair. We will learn ways to make all the postures completely accessible to you!

Yin Yoga+Mantra Live Music+Aromatherapy (Essential Oils DoTerra) W/ Cura & Jenny


The YIN YOGA w/ live mantras and aromatherapy are an amazing combination. The vibration of the mantras together with the healing power of the essential oils takes you to a very beautiful place inside where you can reconnect and recharge. I will be singing the mantras and playing guitar as Jenny will be guiding you through poses and sharing the oils. A little introduction about the benefits and how to use the oils will be given at the beginning of the class.

Intro to Ayurveda

What is Ayurveda and this thing called a “dosha?” How will it help me live more fully? Simply put, Ayurveda is an ancient medicine from India that still practiced all around the world. Your “dosha” is the combination of the 5 elements that your body and personality are made of. In this workshop, you will get a basic understanding of the Ayurvedic doshas and find out your body type either Vata ( air + either) Pitta ( fire + water ) or Kapha ( earth + water ). Learning about your particular dosha means learning about what is good for you as well as what to avoid. It includes theory, short yoga practice for each dosha and essential oils tips for each dosha.
